After receiving a good response to our earlier e-mail from those interested in a class trip to Myrtle Beach, our classmate Mike Ventry has made firm plans for the Class of 1958 of Niagara Falls High School, their family members and friends to stay at the Grande Shores Ocean Resort, 201-77^th Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC, from September 9-16, 2011, at very reasonable and affordable group rates.  Please refer to the attached document which describes the reservation procedures and policies.  The document lists the four room types that were requested by those who responded to our earlier mailing; however, there are other ocean front and ocean view room types available at our group rate, including three bedroom condos, just by requesting the information from the reservationist at Grande Shores.  We encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure that you will receive the room type you prefer.  You do not need to make reservations for the entire week; however, there is a two-night minimum stay requirement if your reservation falls on the weekend (Friday and Saturday).  There is no nightly minimum for weeknights (Sunday to Thursday).

We realize that some classmates reside in the Myrtle Beach area and do not need to make reservations at the Grande Shores, but would like to participate in some or all of the class activities that will be planned throughout the week. To that end, we will be sending a follow-up e-mail in a few weeks listing some suggested events and activities compiled by our classmate, Gail Williamson, who lives in the Myrtle Beach area.  Gail reports that there are a multitude of activities that will provide us with ample opportunities to have fun and socialize with our classmates, including golfing, a day trip to Charleston, shows, and dinner get togethers, just to name a few.  Once we know which activities are of most interest, Gail will make the appropriate arrangements and we will send a registration form noting all of the planned activities, which the Myrtle Beach locals as well as out-of-town classmates will return indicating those that they wish to attend.  

Due to the large cost of a postal mailing, we are only able to send this information via e-mail to those classmates for whom we have e-mail addresses in our database.  We strongly request, therefore, that you contact your classmates who may not be on our e-mail list to let them know about this trip, which is open to all classmates, their family members and friends.  If they have an e-mail address and would like to receive future mass e-mailings, they should notify the class Webmaster, Dolores Bianco Pittaro, at dmpittaro@nfhs1958.com.
